Champagne Bollinger La Grande Année 2015 – Brut
La Grande Année 2015: The Excellence of Bollinger in a Collectible Bottle
La Grande Année 2015 represents the pinnacle of Champagne Bollinger’s craftsmanship and an exceptional vintage. Connoisseurs will recognize its unique texture and will appreciate the unmistakable signature of 2015.
Organoleptic Characteristics and Vinification
La Grande Année 2015 stands out for its rich organoleptic profile, where the forest’s essence is reflected through oak barrel vinification. This process enhances the aromas and guarantees optimal aging, providing this champagne with extraordinary depth and complexity.
Wood: The Common Thread of the 2015 Vintage
In 2015, the vineyard meets the forest. Wood becomes the link that elevates the flavor of La Grande Année and La Grande Année Rosé. This vintage embodies the craftsmanship of the Bollinger Maison, whose signature is synonymous with excellence.

Perfect Blend
La Grande Année 2015 is a blend of 11 crus, mainly from Verzenay, Aÿ, and Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, for the 60% Pinot Noir, and from Chouilly and Avize for the 40% Chardonnay. The entire fermentation process occurs in oak barrels, followed by a long maturation in the cellar, more than twice the time required by the Appellation rules. The dosage is moderate, at 8 grams per liter.
Tasting Sensations
The 2015 vintage was marked by ideal weather conditions, producing small, tightly clustered grapes with high ripeness and well-balanced acidity. The wine is powerful and concentrated, with a long, generous finish.
- Visual: A golden hue, reflecting the wine’s maturity and Bollinger’s expertise.
- Nose: Notes of stone fruits like apple, plum, and mirabelle, accompanied by hints of honey, red fruits, and a subtle presence of almond and mango.
- Palate: A broad, full-bodied attack with flavors of mirabelle jam, enriched by notes of chocolate and citrus.
Tasting Tips
Serve La Grande Année 2015 at 8 to 10°C to fully enhance its profile. Ideal for pairing with gastronomic dishes, it can be enjoyed now or left to age in the cellar for even greater complexity.

Maison Bollinger: the story of a family custodian of a nearly 200-year heritage
Since 1829, the Bollinger family has been crafting powerful, refined, and complex wines, where the expression of fruit aromas emerges in all its dimensions. This particular taste is the result of a passion for the elegance of Pinot Noir, uncompromising excellence, an exceptional vineyard, and artisanal expertise passed down with care since 1829. As suggested by Madame Bollinger, whose legendary vitality still permeates the estate today, Champagne Bollinger is, above all, a sharing of intense emotions among true wine enthusiasts.
A FAMILY OF PASSIONATES
A story full of character
“I drink it when I am happy and when I am sad. Sometimes, I take it when I am alone. I consider it mandatory when I have company. I play with it when I have no appetite, and I drink it when I am hungry. Otherwise, I never touch it, unless I am thirsty.” – Madame Elisabeth Bollinger, London Daily Mail, October 17, 1961
The Bollinger style, an inimitable style
Bollinger is recognized for an inimitable style, cherished by connoisseurs, marked by a commitment to principles passed down from generation to generation. This style rests on five key pillars: the Maison vineyard, Pinot Noir, reserve wines in magnums, barrel vinification, and time.
THE MAISON VINEYARD
An exceptional vineyard built over time
Over the years, Bollinger has developed its vineyard in the heart of the best Champagne crus. The 180 hectares of the Maison are made up of 85% Grands and Premiers crus, cultivated by the Maison’s winemakers across seven distinct vineyards: Aÿ, Avenay, Tauxières, Louvois, and Verzenay for Pinot Noir; Cuis for Chardonnay; and Champvoisy for Meunier. Bollinger is one of the few Champagne houses to produce most of the grapes used in its blends. Another unique feature is the presence of two parcels still spared from phylloxera: Clos Saint-Jacques and Chaudes Terres in Aÿ, which give rise to the rare cuvée Vieilles Vignes Françaises.
PINOT NOIR
The backbone of Maison Bollinger
Pinot Noir, though demanding and delicate, gives wines of incomparable finesse. More than 60% of the Bollinger vineyard is planted with Pinot Noir, precisely the same proportion found in the Special Cuvée blend. This grape gives power, body, and vinosity, shaping the Bollinger style.
BARREL VINIFICATION
The last resident cooper in Champagne
In Gaël’s workshop, the last resident cooper of Champagne, the tools seem to come from another century. Each year, the 4,000 ancient casks of Bollinger require the utmost care. This craft is passed down from generation to generation.
RESERVE WINES IN MAGNUMS
The art of reserve
A portion of Bollinger’s reserve wines is stored in magnums, contributing to the complexity and consistency of the Special Cuvée and Bollinger Rosé blends. This method, unique in Champagne and used by Bollinger since 1890, is a signature of the Maison.
TIME
The luxury of time
The long rest of Bollinger wines in the cellar, far exceeding the requirements of the Champagne appellation, allows for the development of delicate aromas and a velvety texture. Only exceptional vintages are aged for years, resulting in the famous Bollinger R.D. cuvées.
THE BOLLY FAMILY
An eternal bond among enthusiasts
The soul of Bollinger is born in Aÿ, where past and present blend. The “Bolly Family” represents a bond between those who share a passion for exceptional wines and unforgettable tasting moments.
