The vine has its roots in chalk, but sprouts anew every year. Our house is also relatively young, but comes from a history well anchored in the Champagne region for generations.
It was in 2004 that ERIC ISSELEE champagne took off, the brand was created, picking up part of the family heritage.
The oldest and noblest plots in our village classified as Grand Cru, Cramant, are the precious sources of our current range of wines, having been those of our parents and grandparents.
Our history is thus the continuation of a filiation between generations of winegrowers, those of yesterday, today and tomorrow. But it is perhaps also, and above all, a story of passion: in the past we were winegrowers from father to son, of course. Today it is also a choice that reflects a deep love for wine and its land, and the constant desire for quality and excellence that comes with it.
A unique terroir
South of Epernay, the CĂ´te des Blancs owes its name to the predominance of Chardonnay in this terroir. A vine that contrasts its greenish-brown grapes with the purplish, almost black ones of the Pinots and Meunier grapes further north.
Nature wanted these 'white' grapes to give their best on a chalky soil, which in summer dazzles with its whiteness on the paths. The whiteness of this clear and pure chalk gave our village its name, 'le mont de craie', the chalk mountain: Cramant.
It is this unique purity that gives the wine its elegance and makes our plots so rare within this Blancs de Blancs terroir, which itself makes an inescapable contribution to the prestige of the Champagne region. This famous panorama stretching from the plain of Avize to the hill of the Château de Saran is for us a familiar world that dazzles tourists, but which is above all part of our profound identity. A landscape breezed by gentle but lively winds, the mineral scents of chalk: all this can be found in the finesse of the wines and the character of the men who make them.

For deliveries outside the EU. Any customs duties are charged to the recipient and are calculated and paid to the courier upon delivery. EX. For UK destinations around ÂŁ2 per bottle.
