There is plenty of ripe blackberry fruit with a hint of leather and a solid mineral base, wrapped in slightly robust tannins. Two plots totalling 1.32 hectares, both at Aux Charmes, contribute to the fruit of this wine. Fermentation is traditional, with moderate maceration prior to fermentation and a light insertion of whole clusters in 2018. A fascinating result.
