It is the free expression of an important and forgotten grape from Languedoc on sandstone and marl soils. Cinsault speaks of finesse, roundness and charm. It knows how to be discreet to accompany fish and white meat, but also red meat roasts.
“Medium to deep ruby red colour with youthful violet reflections. Young, floral nose offering notes of rose petals, raspberry, plum and gingerbread. Good palate, good substance and maturity with a round texture, smooth tannin and attractive red fruit underpinned by a good idea of freshness. Polished and long finish, nice drinkability in Burgundian style. “
Burgundian winegrowers for some thirty years, Anne Gros and Jean-Paul Tollot decided to combine their passion and efforts to create a new estate in the heart of the Minervois! A beautiful initiative that allowed them to make known the rich and varied terroir (clay, sandstone and limestone) and the potential of the Cazelles vineyards, which include Carignan, Syrah, Grenache and Cinsault vines of different ages. The 12-hectare vineyard lies at the foot of the Montagne Noire, at an altitude of 220 metres. Respectful work using integrated agriculture and manual harvesting is favoured. The wines are unanimously appreciated for their impetus and mature, pleasantly fruity profile.
