This 65-hectare family estate was purchased by the parents of the current owners in 1971.
The estate’s vineyards extend over the maritime terroir of La Palme (Aude), in a dry and windy area that benefits from sea spray.
This spray refreshes the vines planted on particularly dry soils, which produce grapes with splendid concentrations.
The estate is located on the best soils of La Palme, on the plain between La Palme and Fitou.
This estate, rich in history, is crossed by the Roman road that connected Narbonne to Spain, the famous Voie Domitienne, heir to one of Elisabeth’s roads.
In the words of Domitius in 118 B.C.: ‘Here there are stones, drought and wind, but you overlook the Mare Nostrum, which bathes the Mediterranean’.
The soil of the estate bears witness to a human presence dating back several millennia. Without going back to the Man of Tautavel, who is known to have ‘wandered’ as far as Portel des Corbières, passing through the estate.
The average yield is around 30 hectolitres per hectare and gives the wines quality and personality.
Until January 2009, the vines were cultivated using controlled or integrated methods, when the estate converted to organic farming for the following three years.
Since March 2012, the estate has been certified organic.
Solar panels have also been installed on the estate’s buildings as part of a sustainable development programme.
