The AOC Lalande de Pomerol vineyard represents 1100 hectares of vines located between two rivers: the Dordogne and the Isle. This vineyard is cultivated by 174 farms that produce 60,000 hl of high-end red wine, or 8,000,000 bottles per year. On a French or world scale, the Lalande de Pomerol vineyard represents 14% of the total French vineyard and 1.5% of the world vineyard. This makes the wines of Lalande de Pomerol AOC, a rare wine that is also distinguished by its quality.
Because what makes the wines of Lalande de Pomerol prestigious is also its terroir. The soils have been sculpted by the erosion of the aforementioned rivers, which over time has determined the composition of a soil favourable to a high quality wine culture. On the surface, we find silt, but also fine sand, and then we find gravel at depth, with iron blocks scattered underground, and finally rock.
In addition, there are many water reserves in the subsoil, so the vines have little water stress during the very dry summers. The climate is influenced by the Atlantic Ocean. Summers are mild. In addition, the Lalande de Pomerol vineyard enjoys the protection of a hill called Tertre de Fronsac, which limits rainfall during the summer. The combination of warm soils, water reserves and mild, sunny summers creates a unique terroir and explains why the vineyards produce such high quality wines.

For deliveries outside the EU. Any customs duties are charged to the recipient and are calculated and paid to the courier upon delivery. EX. For UK destinations around £2 per bottle.
