In the center of the hamlet of Jongieux le Haut, the Perret and Roissard spouses invite you to immerse yourself in the world of Savoyard viticulture. The vineyards of the family estate extend over 30 hectares between the communes of Jongieux and Billième, in Savoie. We cultivate and vinify the Savoyard vines Jacquère, Roussette and Mondeuse, but also Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Gamay.
The Domaine Saint-Romain includes two crus with Protected Designation of Origin:
The “Vin de Savoie” cru Jongieux has an interesting terroir of marly limestone enriched by the water of the Lac du Bourget.
“Roussette de Savoie” cru Marestel, cradle of the Savoyard vine with the seductive name “l’Altesse”, this cru is a steep and rocky hill bathed in sunshine. Adorned with an elegant golden color, this wine enhances and develops remarkable aromas of honey, almond and violet. This laying wine is a real reference for the region.
Messrs Perret and Jacquin founded the winery in Billième in order to distribute wine in the Savoy countryside and in the areas of Chambéry and Aix. At the time, the business was conducted in barrels, as there were no bottles.
After the death of Mr Perret in 1934 and the departure of Mr Jacquin for Algeria, Germaine Perret took over the wine business alone, in an attempt to keep it alive.
Her son Guy took over to perpetuate the family tradition and know-how of the company.

After studying oenology in Beaune, Nicolas Perret, 25, Guy's son, takes over the management of the company with his wife, sharing with her the knowledge acquired since 1927 and a new vision of Savoy wines.
