André Clouet
The Clouet family is a family of winegrowers whose origins, as they say, “are lost in the mists of time.” Its founder was a printer at the Versailles court of Louis XV and for generations their descendants continued this work. The unique ‘Ancien Regime’ style on the labels is a tribute to the founder of the house. It took more than two centuries and generations of Clouets to obtain vineyard plots in the Bouzy area in the southern part of the Montagne de Reims. The 9 hectares are classified as 100% Grand Cru. Only 17 communes out of 300 have the benefit of Grand Cru status and Bouzy is one of them. Here the Pinot Noir is lovingly cared for and brought to perfect maturity.
