Château Maine Chaigneau
At the beginning of 1900, Maurice Courty left the Dordogne to come and cultivate vines in the Libournais region and met Cécile there. After several purchases of vineyards and land in Néac and Montagne, he created Château Lafleur Châtain. Work on other properties allowed him to expand. After working on the property, Marie-Thérèse and Robert Courty took over in 1960. They sought to make the property grow and prosper by starting to develop the sale of bottles to private individuals. In 1985 the property was shared between their three children, Serge Courty and his two sisters. In the same year, Joëlle and Serge created Château Maine Chaigneau. Slowly, during the cessation of the activity, they bought back some plots of land owned by their parents to arrive today at 7.80 hectares. After several years of trial and hesitation, they created Cuvée JS in 2008.
