Dom PĂ©rignon
Discover the undisputed prestige of Dom PĂ©rignon Champagne, renowned throughout the world as a symbol of elegance and originality. Created in 1936 by Robert-Jean de VogĂĽĂ©, president of the Maison MoĂ«t & Chandon, this champagne is derived from the old vintages of the house’s reserve wines.
The story begins in 1668 with Abbot Pierre PĂ©rignon, who transformed the Abbey of Saint-Pierre d’Hautvillers, introducing innovative vine cultivation techniques and producing a unique wine: Champagne. Over the centuries, this extraordinary wine became a favourite of the French court at Versailles.
Management of the abbey then passed to partners Pierre-Gabriel Chandon and Jean-Rémy Moët in 1829, who in 1936, together with de Vogüé, created the famous cuvée de prestige 1921: the first Dom Pérignon. With the arrival of Richard Geoffroy and now Vincent Chaperon as Chef de cave, the Maison has continued to raise its standards of exclusivity and excellence.
Dom PĂ©rignon is distinguished by the use of the best Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes, excluding Pinot Meunier. Each Dom PĂ©rignon Champagne is vintage, guaranteeing unique and distinctive wines. The production process follows the Champenoise Method, with two separate fermentations of the grapes, blending and bottle ageing.
The quality is the result of years of experience, long ageing on the lees and the selection of the best grapes. Versions such as Vintage, Plénitude Deuxième and Rosé offer a range of unique experiences for Champagne lovers. Discover the art and perfection of Dom Pérignon, an icon in the world of high-end Champagnes.
