Domaine de la Grange
This 65-hectare family estate was bought by the parents of the current owners in 1971.
The estate’s vineyards stretch across the maritime terroir of La Palme (Aude), in a dry, windy area that benefits from sea spray.
This spray refreshes the vines planted on particularly dry soil, which produces grapes with splendid concentrations.
The estate is located on the best land in La Palme, on the plain between La Palme and Fitou.
This estate, steeped in history, is crossed by the Roman road that linked Narbonne to Spain, the famous Voie Domitienne, heir to one of the Elisabeth roads.
In the words of Domitius in 118 BC: “Here there are stones, drought and wind, but you overlook the Mare Nostrum which bathes the Roman shores”.
Since 31 March 2012, the vines at La Grange (65 hectares) have been certified ORGANIC FARMING (AB), after several years of integrated farming.

The 65 hectares of organic vines include
46 ha of AOC Fitou
17 ha of Carignan,
10 ha of Grenache Noir,
10 ha of Syrah,
9 ha of Mourvèdre
2 ha in AOC Rivesaltes
Grenache Blanc
Grenache Gris
3.5 ha AOC Muscat de Rivesaltes
Nearly 9 hectares planted between one and three years ago.
The average yield is around 30 hectolitres per hectare, giving the wines quality and personality.
Until January 2009, the vines were cultivated using controlled or integrated farming methods, when the estate converted to organic farming for the following three years.
The estate has been certified organic since March 2012.
Solar panels have also been installed on the estate’s buildings as part of a sustainable development programme.
