The Story of Eric Taillet: Tradition and Passion in Champagne
A Family Tradition since 1995
The story of the Maison Eric Taillet began in 1995, when Eric Taillet, following in his father’s footsteps, continued to cultivate the vines with respect and love, achieving exceptional results. Today, this passion has been passed on to his two sons, representing the finest legacy. During the grape harvest, it is essential that everything goes well, which is why, every year, Daniel Taillet approaches this crucial phase with philosophy and dedication.

The Vineyard: Heart of the Marne Valley
Eric Taillet’s vineyard covers 5.70 hectares, spread over six communes around Baslieux-sous-Châtillon. This enchanting location is in the heart of the great Marne Valley, where Pinot Meunier reigns supreme. However, there is no shortage of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, used for some special cuvées.
Rich and Nutritious Soil
The vineyard soil is predominantly marly, clayey and sandy, providing a rich source of nutrients for the vines. This soil is a true blessing for the area’s sparkling wine bases, contributing to the superior quality of the champagnes produced.
