Guy Michel et Fils
Guy Michel et Fils is a Maison located in Pierry, in the first village south of Epernay, in the heart of the Marne Valley, and has an estate vineyard extension of about 20 hectares, spread over a dozen villages.
The classic Champagne grape varieties are cultivated here (approximately 50% Pinot Meunier, 30% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Noir), from terroirs that differ in terms of soil and climate conditions and exposure. This situation certainly makes vineyard management more difficult, but at the same time makes it possible to produce balanced and complex cuvées.
In addition, almost all the vines are planted with grass, a technique that is very respectful of the environment and which highlights the great sensitivity and attention put into practice by the vine-dressers, who do most of their work in the traditional way and with full respect for the terroir. The same philosophy and attention are applied in the cellar, in order to obtain authentic Champagnes
