Le Caniette
The LE CANIETTE winery was legally established with Raffaele Vagnoni, who, starting in the 1960s, began converting all the land he inherited from his father Giovanni into vineyards, making wine-making the main source of family income. The first labels appeared with Giovanni Vagnoni, who in the early 1990s joined the company and began to introduce all those technological and entrepreneurial innovations that have made LE CANIETTE known and appreciated in the area and around the world.Currently, the company covers a total of 20 hectares in different bodies composed of vineyards (16 ha), olive groves (1.5 ha) and woods.
Situated in a position adjacent to and perpendicular to the sea, the vineyards enjoy many favourable elements that make them unique. The microclimate is particular, essentially Mediterranean contrasted by the proximity of the Balkan area, as is the conformation of the soil, composed of sandy and conglomerate deposits of roofs (Lower Pleistocene).
The focus on the naturalness of its products is embodied in running the entire company according to the canons of certified organic farming on every bottle. Love for its places, culture and specialities have made it natural for the company to join the Consorzio Vini Piceni group, which aims to become a reference point for regional and national oenology, but not only.
