Pertois-Moriset
Located in Mesnil sur Oger, in the heart of the renowned Côte des Blancs, this family business has always operated independently, maintaining a constant rigour in the selection of grapes from generation to generation. The history of the house began with the union of Yves Pertois and Janine Moriset, who both came from families of Champenois winegrowers. Thus, in 1951, this passionate couple founded their own estate: Pertois-Moriset, located in the family cradle of the Côte des Blancs. Today, the Pertois-Moriset estate is managed with great expertise by their granddaughter, Cécile, and her husband Vincent. Over the last ten years, the estate has gained an excellent reputation and covers 21 hectares spread over two high-quality terroirs: the Côte des Blancs and the Coteau Sézannais. The approach is organic and the soils are worked with care. The house gained further importance with the construction, in 2009, of a new state-of-the-art wine cellar, which allows precise control of fermentation and ageing on fine lees. The bottles then rest on the lees for at least 20 months, and much longer for vintage champagnes. Pertois-Moriset champagnes offer an intense flavour, unctuousness, notes of citrus, white fruits and a hint of toast, on lively and persistent bubbles. A very interesting discovery with excellent value for money.
