RĂ©gis Poissinet

Champagne RĂ©gis Poissinet has been a family estate since 1947.
It covers 7 hectares of different clay-limestone and silt-limestone terroirs in the Vallée de la Marne.

The vineyard, which has an average age of 35 years, consists of 35 plots distributed between Cuchery, Baslieux, Leuvrigny, Troissy and Mareuil-le-Port.
The main grape variety is Meunier, supplemented by Chardonnay and a little Pinot Noir.

Champagne Vineyard
With the arrival of RĂ©gis at the helm of the estate, the vineyards are undergoing a real cultural change.

Now cultivated with strict respect for the natural environment, but also for their own balance, they can finally express all the finesse and richness of their terroir.

Chalet Champagne Poissinet
The abandonment of herbicides marked the beginning of the transformation of the vineyards, and today we work the soils with the omnipresent concern to preserve the biodiversity of the terroir.

Flora and fauna flourish freely and exchanges between the soil and the vine root system are stimulated by the presence of a wide variety of living micro-organisms.

An essential condition for the terroir to express itself in the grapes.

Papillon domaine poissinet
Composting (of animal origin and grape residues) allows us to work the soil more deeply, providing it with all the micro-organisms it needs. This technique contributes to enhancing the valuable soil microbiota.

This is why we produce compost, so that we can trace back what we change in the vineyards.
