Vignobles Rollet
The Concept of Terroir
The concept of terroir is both precise and somewhat nuanced. It is precise in the winegrower’s mind and nuanced when it comes to explaining it. It is a typicality born of the alliance between soil, vine and climate. To respect the famous Saint-Émilion appellation, it is our duty to produce wines that are powerful, complex and above all elegant.
Respect is the key word;
both towards the terroir and the taste of our customers.
Sensible farming
Long experience in vine cultivation has taught our family a wisdom that allows us to look at things in the long term. The vine is not a crop that can be changed in a few months, but one whose evolution over the years must be envisaged, since a vine stock can live more than fifty years. It is this longevity of the vine that drives us to respect it. We have been working according to the method of reasoned agriculture since 1995, although we are not officially certified. We also use some products approved within the framework of organic farming.
Constant Progression
In recent years, we have tried to achieve more fruit and smoothness, while bringing length and fullness to the mouth, without forgetting the importance of good balance. We have improved our wines so that they respond to the evolving tastes of our customers.
