Vincent Couche
Vincent Couche embodies the third generation of a family of winemakers rooted in the renowned Champagne region of Buxeuil, in the heart of the Côte de Bars. His philosophy, based on a traditional, non-interventionist and strictly biodynamic approach, allows him to create Champagnes that faithfully reflect the peculiarities of the terroir rather than conforming to a standardised taste each year.
With 10 hectares of Pinot Noir in Buxeuil and another 3 hectares of Chardonnay in the village of Montgueux, characterised by its chalk-rich soil, Vincent Couche takes full advantage of the unique conditions offered by his region. Slightly higher temperatures and the humidity due to the proximity of the Seine favour a complete ripening of the grapes and the formation of extraordinary aromatic complexity.
Couche’s commitment to biodynamic agriculture, initiated in 2008, is the culmination of a constant search for balance and excellence, inspired by a love for the vineyard itself. In the cellar as in the vineyard, Vincent’s approach is to intervene as little as possible: fermentation takes place naturally in vats or barriques, without the addition of sulphites.
Vincent Couche’s Champagnes are true treasures born from the vineyard itself, transformed and carefully prepared for the moment of consumption. They are products that embody the essence of terroir and are distinguished by their elegance and aromatic complexity. You just have to immerse yourself in the unique sensory experience offered by these Champagnes and discover the secrets of their irresistible seduction.
